Why I’m a Microdosing Coach Who No Longer Microdoses

It often surprises people when I tell them that I’m a microdosing coach and I don’t microdose anymore.
There’s an assumption that in order to guide others with this medicine, I must still be taking it myself. But the truth is, with this particular medicine, the goal is not to be on it forever.

When I first began microdosing, I was incredibly consistent. I worked in regular cycles with short integration breaks for over two years, building a deep and intentional relationship with the medicine. This was essential in the beginning — consistency and regularity are how we establish trust, both with the medicine and with ourselves. It’s how we learn to listen more closely to our bodies, our emotions, and our inner landscapes.

Over time, my relationship with the medicine shifted. I moved from regular cycles to occasional, intuitive microdoses, perhaps on a day when I wanted to feel more connected to myself, or more attuned to the natural world. And then, quite naturally, I reached a point where I didn’t feel the need to microdose at all.

This is one of the most beautiful things about this work:
microdosing is not about dependency, but about remembrance. It’s about opening a door to a deeper connection with yourself, and once that door is open, you may not need to keep walking through it in the same way.

The medicine taught me how to soften into my own presence, how to notice beauty, and how to access creativity and clarity without external support. It’s not that I’ve “moved on” from the medicine rather, the teachings are now fully woven into who I am.

When I coach others, my role isn’t to get them to stay on microdosing forever. My role is to support them in building that initial, consistent relationship with the medicine, so that over time, they no longer need it. The goal is empowerment, not reliance.

So yes I am a microdosing coach who no longer microdoses.
And that, to me, is the whole point.
