I’m Naomi, an MSc student in Psychedelics: Mind, Medicine and Culture at the University of Exeter, trauma informed somatic counsellor, microdosing guide, founder of The Psychedelic Doula, and mother to three children.
With a background in paediatric nursing, student midwifery and many years working as a birth keeper and doula, my work sits at the intersection of motherhood, nervous system healing, relational care and psychedelic integration.
Over the years, I have become increasingly interested in the deeper questions surrounding healing, suffering, identity, trauma and transformation and in how psychedelics can sometimes open spaces for profound insight, emotional processing, connection and change.
At the same time, I believe these experiences deserve far more nuance, care and context than they are often given within modern wellness culture.
Much of the conversation around psychedelics and microdosing has become shaped by optimisation, productivity, biohacking and the search for quick transformation. My work takes a different approach.
I am less interested in “fixing” people, and more interested in creating spaces where complexity, emotion, embodiment and human experience can be explored safely and honestly.
I believe healing is rarely linear.
I believe symptoms often carry meaning rather than simply being problems to eradicate.
I believe the nervous system, the body, relationships, culture and environment all shape our experiences profoundly.
And I believe psychedelics cannot be meaningfully separated from context.
My work is particularly rooted in motherhood, relational healing and the nervous system. Many of the people who find me are navigating periods of transition, depletion, anxiety, grief, identity shifts, spiritual emergence, burnout, trauma or the emotional complexity of parenting and caregiving.
Some come looking for guidance around microdosing and psychedelic integration. Others are simply searching for a more grounded and compassionate way of understanding themselves.
Alongside my one to one work, I offer workshops, masterclasses, courses and educational spaces exploring psychedelics, microdosing, somatic healing, motherhood and integration through a trauma informed and relational lens.
I am especially interested in:
microdosing beyond optimisation culture,
motherhood and altered states,
nervous system healing,
psychedelic integration,
relational and community based approaches to healing,
non pathologising frameworks,
and the limitations of purely reductionist models of mental health.
My approach is not about guruhood, rigid protocols or claiming certainty.
I do not believe there is one “right” way to heal.
Instead, I see this work as accompaniment, walking beside people as they explore their own relationship with healing, meaning, embodiment and change.
Sometimes that involves psychedelics. Sometimes it doesn’t.
Often, what people need most is not more information, but a space where they can slow down, feel safely met, and reconnect with themselves beneath the noise of modern life.
Because this work is relational, I no longer use automated booking systems.
If you’d like to explore working together, you’re welcome to email me with a little about yourself and what you’re looking for support with, and I can send through my current availability and ways of working.
