I am Naomi Tolson (The Psychedelic Doula). I am a mother of three, a doula, a microdosing educator, somatic practitioner and researcher.

My work centres on grounded education and somatic inquiry for mothers, parents, caregivers, and birthworkers navigating the intense thresholds of care.

Microdosing education and harm reduction are often the entry points for our work together. In a landscape where information can be confusing or clinical, I provide a safe, private space to look at the safety, ethics, and lived reality of these experiences. However, the focus is never just on the substance. I view the mushroom as a relational agent, an animate presence that helps us listen to our own bodies and find our own ground within the intense demands of modern life.

Presence, Not Optimisation.

In a culture that values scale and speed, it is easy to look for a miracle cure or an expert to tell us what to do. But this work is not about fixing a broken brain or optimising ourselves to work harder.

We are not broken. Often, what we call struggle is a natural response to the systems we live in, systems that are not built to support the reality of care. Much of our work involves recognising that these environments of harm create the pressure we feel. We move away from the idea that this is a personal problem and toward a collective understanding of care.

This work is about standing with you. Whether you are navigating the transition of parenthood or the profound demands of birthwork, I offer a space to move slowly. I am not here to prescribe or save. I don't hold the answers for your life, but I do hold the perimeter. My role is to witness and support you as you make sense of your own experience, ensuring you don't have to carry the inquiry alone.

Working Together

There is no single pathway here.

Some people arrive wanting practical orientation around microdosing — safety, dose, protocols, ethics, and integration. Others come because something deeper is stirring: a sense of dislocation, grief, overwhelm, or a quiet knowing that the way things have been held is no longer sustainable.

Our work begins with listening.

We move at a pace that respects the body, the realities of care, and the wider contexts shaping your life. Rather than following a formula, we pay attention to what is already present: sensations, patterns, questions, resistances and allow the work to unfold from there.

I offer support through:

  • 1:1 sessions, for those wanting a private, relational space to explore microdosing, somatic inquiry, or life transitions

  • The Membership
An ongoing, cyclical space for experienced microdosers who want continuity, reflection, and community rather than instruction or optimisation. The work unfolds in gentle cycles, with shared themes, live inquiry, and time for integration. Presence is valued over performance.

  • Small group programs and cycles, where learning and reflection are held within a shared field

  • Educational spaces, including courses and trainings, for parents, mothers, and birthworkers seeking grounded, ethical orientation

I do not diagnose, prescribe, or direct your path. My role is closer to accompaniment — holding the container, asking careful questions, and helping you make sense of your own experience as it emerges.

This work is especially shaped by the realities of motherhood, caregiving, and birthwork, the ways these roles stretch us, change us, and often leave little room to be witnessed ourselves.

If you are looking for certainty, optimisation, or a quick fix, this may not be the right place.
If you are looking for a thoughtful, attuned space to explore what is already alive in you gently, ethically, and with care, this might be the place for you

Testimonials

  • I felt supported, validated, and genuinely listened to, with space to understand myself more deeply.

  • The support helped me clarify my own intention and trust myself to continue independently.

  • I felt supported by the group and came away with a deeper understanding of myself, without pressure or expectation

  • Anyone can talk wisely about the medicine and the journey but to truly guide someone, knowing when to adapt the pace, when to step in and when to allow instinct to unfold, that takes someone special. Thank you Naomi"

  • Naomi changed my perspective to be more understanding and compassionate for myself instead of feeling stuck in the past and in a constant cycle of self hate. There was always a feeling that I was being held, and that is exactly what I needed.

  • I feel like I have grown as an individual more in this time than over the last few years! I felt fully supported and understood throughout the course and am sad it has come to an end! I feel that being part of this course has changed the trajectory of my life in such a positive way and I am so excited to continue to work with Naomi. “

  • What’s remarkable about Naomi is the way she holds space in a steady, spacious, warm, and utterly non judgemental way.

  • Working with Naomi is unlike anything I’ve experienced before. She brings a rare combination of grounded somatic skill, deep intuition, and an ability to make even the most complex inner terrain feel safe to explore.

  • I’ve worked with therapists before, but Naomi is different. There’s depth here, and real care. I’ve learned to listen to myself again and that alone has changed so much.
